Innovation meets tradition: modotex supports Swabian underwear manufacturer with its digital expansion

06 July 2016 – The partner for brands supports the licensee for bugatti underwear with its worldwide online distribution strategy.

Another new customer for modotex GmbH: As of today, the online distribution agency will be supporting ESGE Textilwerk Maag GmbH & Co. KG with its digital internationalization of bugatti underwear. Modotex will distribute the products of the underwear manufacturer in Germany as well as 22 further European countries – including Austria, Spain, France, Italy and Sweden. As part of this partnership, modotex will be putting its comprehensive spectrum of services to use, which ranges from the creation of product information to handling of customs formalities and shipment.

At ESGE, innovation is a long-held tradition: Founded at the end of the 19th century as a shirt business, the family business – now in its third generation – is still being successfully managed and constantly developed. Nowadays, ESGE is one of the biggest underwear manufacturers in Europe and is also licensee for bugatti underwear. The company’s product portfolio also includes their own brands Pompadour, Cito and ESGE.

With its worldwide and channel-independent distribution strategy, modotex enables ESGE a fast, uncomplicated and profitable digital sales distribution to its end customers. The risk- and resource-free entry into international markets guarantees ESGE an immediate increase in turnover without any additional expense. The partner for brands can translate product descriptions into 15 different languages which are placed on up to 100 sales platforms worldwide within just one hour. The standardized process makes the whole online distribution of fashion products manageable for fashion brands – at high speed while maintaining the whole power of the whole distribution process and eliminating language barriers easily.

This year, modotex has continued to expand its portfolio of new customers significantly. Further to modotex’ cooperation with CINQUE Moda GmbH that was announced in June, the global online fashion distribution agency has entered into several additional partnerships over the past months, including fashion brands Trussardi, sheego and Strenesse.

Berlin Fashion Week: modotex at the FashionTech conference

30 June 2016 – modotex successfully presented its unique technology for international fashion distribution at the fashion trade show in Berlin.

During the Berlin Fashion Week in late June, modotex made it clear that innovative technologies provide a crucial boost in the fashion business. The online distributing agency presented itself with its own stand at the fifth FashionTech conference, which is part of the leading trade fair Premium, the meeting point for advanced contemporary fashion. The focus of attention was the self-developed technology of modotex for international fashion distribution: the technology simultaneously transfers product information into 15 different languages in just one hour, thus making it compatible for countless online distribution channels in international markets.

“Our presence at FashionTech was a complete success”, concludes Ingo G. Heinze, founder and managing director of modotex GmbH. “We had interesting discussions with representatives of fashion brands and retailers, gaining high-profile contacts. The number of visitors at the Kühlhaus venue and the resonance there were optimal: whether it’s for fashion brands, manufacturers or large retailers – our technology allows us to open up unrivalled worldwide distribution opportunities.”

The trade visitor frequency in the modotex lounge at FashionTech was correspondingly high. The presentation “Selling online: Your no-cost ticket around the world” by Nicolas Kröger, Director of E-Commerce at modotex, at the conference podium also attracted a lot of attention. The audience heard his convincing contribution on content creation, connection and fulfillment based on a best-practice example from business client sheego.

“We clearly felt the push Nicolas Kröger’s presentation provided,” emphasizes Heinze. “FashionTech was a great opportunity to explain the advantages of our technology to a very interested audience and to position ourselves as a partner for brands.”

modotex enables companies to profitably distribute fashion products digitally to end customers. The standardized process makes the entire online distribution for manufacturers manageable – at a high speed, with full distribution control and without any language barriers.

The particular strength, which is also the USP of the modotex technology, is that it is not limited to individual platforms, but works across all channels: the distribution enabler publishes fashion items on more than 50 platforms live simultaneously. Not only is this quick and easy, but it also saves costs and resources when entering international markets. As a result, the clients’ time-to-market is significantly shortened and their sales increase immediately.

13 June 2016 – The partner for brands supports the licensee of brands such as Tom Tailor and Roy Robson with its worldwide online sales strategy

modotex GmbH can now count another well-known customer among its prestigious clients: Philipp Bazlen GmbH. The online sales agency will support the Metzingen-based belt specialist with its global online sales strategy: modotex will in future sell Bazlen products on various distribution platforms in Germany, as well as in 18 additional European countries and in New Zealand. The comprehensive spectrum of services ranges from the creation of product information to the handling of customs formalities and shipment.

Due to versatile sales possibilities, both domestically and internationally, I see a great opportunity to achieve substantially more turnover without having to commit to substantial resources. Philipp Bazlen GmbH is a leading manufacturer of belts and leather accessories in Germany, and also a licensee for brands like Tom Tailor, Roy Robson and Mustang. The portfolio of the Metzingen-based company includes the brands Vanzetti, Strong Desert Vintage and Selection by Vanzetti, as well as its own brand, b-belt, which are sold via the subsidiary BGM MODE-ACCESSORIES GmbH.

Daniel Olstinski, Head of Sales at modotex GmbH, is also thrilled about the cooperation with Philipp Bazlen GmbH: “We look forward to the cooperation with an absolute fashion expert, and we believe in the international potential. Right now is the perfect time for a risk and resource-free entry into international markets – and while it doesn’t involve additional costs for the brand, it does guarantee an immediate increase in sales. With its global and channel-independent distribution strategy, modotex offers a quick, easy and profitable digital sale of fashion items to end customers. The partner for brands is able to create tailor-made product descriptions in over 15 languages which are placed on up to 100 sales platforms worldwide within just one hour. The standardized process makes the whole online distribution of fashion products manageable for fashion brands – at high speed while maintaining the whole power of the whole distribution process and eliminating language barriers easily simultaneously.

This year, modotex has continued to expand its portfolio of new customers significantly. Besides the cooperation with CINQUE Moda GmbH that was announced in early June, the global online distributing agency has entered into several additional partnerships over the past months, inter alia with Trussardi, sheego and Strenesse.

Unique solutions for complex processes
Within modotex’ 30m2 exhibition lounge, the modotex team (consisting of the company’s managing directors, sales-team as well as the e-commerce management) expects thrilling conversations with existing and new potential clients. This revolutionary technology enables companies to market their fashion articles in the most efficient and profitable way. The standardized process makes the whole online distribution of fashion products manageable for fashion brands – at high speed while maintaining the whole power of the whole distribution process while eliminating language barriers easily simultaneously.

The unique selling proposition of the partner for brands is their global distribution channel independency. The online fashion sales agency operates across all channels which allows modotex to list fashion articles on over 50 sales platforms simultaneously. modotex supports CINQUE to expand into digital global markets

1 June 2016 – modotex GmbH has continued to develop its customer portfolio and has added the fashion brand CINQUE Moda GmbH to its customer portfolio. modotex will from now carry out the brand’s internationalization on international sales platforms, like different marketplaces in several European countries.

The Hanover-based online sales agency takes over the planned digital internationalization of its new business partner with a comprehensive spectrum of services, ranging from the acquisition and administration of product information to the dispatch and customs processing of the products.

”We are proud that an increasing number of well-known fashion brands rely upon our services in terms of online distribution“, explains Jaime Vidal de Martinez, managing director and co-founder of modotex. “Our unique service, the ‘modotex Fashion Standard‘, clearly convinces our customers. “ The special technology allows modotex to create tailor-made product descriptions in over 15 languages which are placed on up to 100 sales platforms worldwide within just one hour.

The online sales agency will first handle the distribution for CINQUE in Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium as well as Poland. An expansion of the activities to other countries is planned for the future. The CINQUE Moda GmbH, a family business based in Monchengladbach, brings out multiple collections of the contemporary men & women segment a year. The fashion label with Italian origins relies on clothes which are designed to embody the smart and relaxed Italian lifestyle.

“We are pleased to have found a strategic partner in modotex who enables us to effectively use sales platforms which perfectly fit with our brand values and which allow us to reach our customers optimally“, added Tristan Bolwin, brand manager CINQUE Moda GmbH.

By establishing the partnership with CINQUE Moda GmbH, modotex has continued to expand its portfolio of new customers. This year alone modotex has entered into several new partnerships, inter alia with Heinrich Katt (Casamoda & Venti), Strenesse, Trussardi and Hiltl, as well as with Rivergate, a sister company of Wellensteyn.

„For fashion brands it is becoming more important to expand fast and simply into international fashion markets“, emphasizes Vidal de Martinez. “Our increasing customer portfolio proves that we are the ideal partner to consult. “ Fashion brands benefit from the cooperation with modotex. By partnering with modotex, brands can easily multiply their sales potential without facing substantial up-front costs and – due to a revenue-based billing model – also without entering into risks.

Market entry in Asia: modotex brings customers to China

25 April 2016 – New opportunities for fashion manufacturers in international export.

The online sales agency modotex has now extended its international reach to China, opening up a promising export business for its clients. modotex has already introduced three Chinese distribution channels to its network: Tmall, JD.com and Taobao. Fashion manufacturers from Germany, who modotex supports in their international online sales, gain access an extremely strong market – China had 445 billion euros of online retail sales in 2015, about 70 percent of which were for clothing & accessories. By comparison, sales in the American market were only 270 billion euros in the same period*

“With the new distribution possibilities in China, we are fulfilling the wishes of many of our customers," says Ingo G. Heinze, CEO of modotex GmbH. “Original goods from Europe and especially fashion from Germany enjoy high status in China." Shipping directly from Germany only serves to increase the value of the products.

The modotex mission is to market fashion worldwide as effectively as possible for its customers in Germany and Europe. This is possible thanks to a unique technology: the modotex Fashion Standard means product descriptions can be translated in up to 15 languages and retail offers can be generated for up to 50 international online platforms within just one hour. Thus, modotex not only overcomes language barriers, it adapts perfectly to the target country and platform-specific conditions, whether it’s different size categories or currencies. modotex partners can therefore open up international fashion markets quickly and easily. They also multiply their sales potential without additional investment, commitment of resources or risk.

For new customers, modotex can, if desired, take over the complete fulfilment process. This ranges from preparing and translating product information and photographs, to creating and monitoring offers, and all the way to storing and shipping goods.

China is now the first Asian market to be opened by modotex. The launch in other Asian countries, such as Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, is already in planning.
